SIDE VIEW MIRRORS

Ok, here is the deal. Both of my mirrors will go to the left and down. I don't think it is the mirror motors because both sides are doing the same thing. I check all the fuses and made sure that the mirror switch was connected good behind the door panel. Same thing. I was thinking about getting another switch and trying that. Does that sound like a good idea, or am I chasing my tail?

I think trying another switch from a junkyard might not be a bad idea. There are two motors in the mirror, one controls left right and the other up down. The way they work is by reversing the polarity to the motors to change direction. Since your mirrors work left and down, that means both motors are functioning. I think you are on the right track.

if both mirrors are doing the same thing then this is common - goto bone yard and buy a switch - takes only a couple of minutes to replace, see it alot in cold/wet weather states cause the location of the switch .
