Hi folks,
In the 10+ years I've owned my Ex, I've never lost a significant amount of coolant. However, in the past 24 hours, I've developed a "significant" leak--big enough to empty the reservoir and about 1/6 of the radiator on a 5 mile trip. I've searched the forum, and I think I've narrowed the problem down to the following possibilities:
1. Water pump (I replaced this myself due to a bad bearing 4.5 years ago--no problems since)
2. Lower intake manifold gasket
My problem is that I can't pinpoint exactly the source of the leak, but there are two puddles forming under the truck: one is about 4 inches from center toward the driver's side and just forward of the center of the front wheels. The second puddle is forming in line with the center of the driver's seat and aft of the center of the front wheels.
Also, the truck is not overheating (yet).
My gut tells me this is not a water pump leak, but I'd appreciate any advice/recommendations about the cause(s) of the leak before I tear into this thing. I'm also stuck driving my wife's minivan until I get this fixed, so I'm highly motivated!
Thanks in advance!
Truck specs: 1995, OHV, 4.0l, auto, 2WD, stock.
