Silver Lake Disaster

Point and Laugh

As sorry as I am about the unfortunate accident, I couldn't stop laughing when the engine died (by the way, I'm the kid in orange). Being knee deep and hearing the constant stream of obscenities was almost as good as off-roading all day. Almost. Though I really do have to say, the most amusing part was the climbing out of the window. Darn windows that only roll down half way- doesn't Ford plan for these types of things?

Voodoo... AKA 3dfx... AKA STB... all went under about a year a half ago. Their last series, the Voodoo5 was being processed during the plant's close and it seems as though some of the people there went haywire and began soldering sht together that shouldn't have been and junk like that. Some of the last card kick butt while others will toast your AGP slots due to the high voltage in on the cards. Use leftover Voodoo products at your own risk...

Cool!

I was there the weekend fter you guys, and the dunes were all wet, so climbing wasn't even a challenge. However, my buddy's sister dunked and hydrolocked her Wrangler 4.0 exactly the same way.. she saw her brother going through the middle in his 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel, and thought she could do the same... luckily, she made it part way up the other side before it died... didn;t even have to get our feet wet pulling her to high ground.

:)

Pulled the filter (soaked) the intake, coil pack rail, and plugs, blew the water out of #5&6, Sucked the rest of the water out of the intake manifold, bolted it back together and gave it a shot of brake cleaner to get it to fire and viola! she drove it home! Even checked the fluids too.. nothing! She got daaaaamn lucky!

I guess the TPS went bad the next day.... but it was under warranty, so ... :)

Glad you managed to get the Ex to limp home... would have liked to see it!
