Silver Lake runs this spring (Michigan or anyone close read this!)

Has anyone actually been at Silver Lake on the opening weekend. Would it be crowded or just hard corps off roaders. I suppose much depends on the weather.

Also, anyone have a set of factory wheels they want to get rid of. Just got a set of 33's for my Bronco and want to mount the 31X10.5s from it onto an extra set of Explorer wheels.

I am guessing it will not be very crowded due to the still cool temperatures. i went there last year several times right before close and there was literally no one.

I was up opening day last year and the year before. It's cold but people just bundle up and jump on their quads and go. It's nicer having a truck so you can have heat. The park is not to busy unless it is real nice out or if it is a Holiday weekend.

Ok people....there is quite a few people going on the 6th and have only had limited respose to the cookout. Does everyone want to do this??? IF so...Start responding on what you will bring. 95XLT..could you please put in (..) what everyone is bringing after their name??

Thanks

Ok...one more time....if no responses....bring whatever you want for yourself....or just us guys that have responded...will do our thing.

Where is the list of who is bringing what so I know what I need to bring?

OK..HERES THE LIST

SSIKORA Burgers/Dogs/and Buns
MY FRIENDS Different kinds of chips
ESPNFREAK Case of pop/Burgers/Dogs
BIGE Gas grill

We need condiments...could use more pop, more buns, If anyone can contribute, we can all bring less. If someone want's to supply some filet's..that would be nice j/k. Anything you think would be good to bring...tell me.

It might be easier for folks to bring food if there was a list of stuff that they could choose.

In that there is about 30 or so people going having a menu and amount of each type of food would be easier to split up.

Looks like we have hot dogs and hamburgers, pop, chips and such. Do we want soup?, hot chocolate? coffee? (in case it is really cold?). Do we want salad or fruit or sandwiches. Do we need tables, should people bring lawnchairs, do we want a tarp or something to rig up in case it is raining?

Just some thougts...

Eric

What do you guys think they would do if you don't have a tach? I have a AMC 360 in my Jeep and there is about 6" of pipe after the "not so muffling" mufflers.

hey Travis.. I might show up, but I wouldn't know until about April 4th or something. Can you PM me your phone ## so I can call for last minute plans? I probably won't have a computer from April 1st till after April 8th.

I think something warm to drink would be a great idea....also..any sort of table or anything. Potato salad or anything to compliment a cookout.

Ok...is anyone else going and staying overnight on Friday?? I am thinking about doing this and am hoping that maybe I could meet up with a couple people and have a few drinks the night before.

I probably will go up on Friday night. Haven't decided yet where to stay.

sorry I won't be able to join you for the cookout. I think the F-150 group has something going that night and I figure since I'm bringing my F-150 I should hang out with them a bit, LOL.
Hopefully the truck will be a whole new truck by Silver Lake! I can hardly wait! Will (hopefully) be added by Silver Lake:
RCD 5" lift
Vinyl Graphics of black tribal flames along the side and on the hood.
POSSIBLY:
Free flow cats (assuming it doesn't push me over the db limitation)

OK Im back Ive given up on the 27th and am arranging to take the 6th off work, SSIKORA I would likely come up on the friday but also dont know where to stay, but im always up for a beer or two,any ideas.

I'm hoping 95XLT will give us some ideas. But I will start looking into it today...and will get back with you what I find.

Sorry guys, I probably won't make it. I start school April 1st so I will be really busy. Hopefully I'll be up there on the 27th.

Here is a link to accomodations, it includes hotels, campgrounds etc.

Dead Link Removed

Some of the hotels have pretty good pre-season rates. I may stay at the Comfort Inn.
