How much difference would there be in size between a 275/55-17 and a 285/60-17?

I have 17X9 Cobra R's on my 99 Explorer and i'm looking to stay as close as I can to the stock wheel/tire diameter. I know the 275/55-17 will get me almost exactly the same as stock, but what about the 285/60-17? I'm going for a sport truck/performance look.

275/55/17 = 28.9 x 10.8
285/60/17 = 30.5 x 11.2

The 275s are almost exactly the same height (wider) than 235/75/15s, the stock size. The 285s are close to 31's.
