I used the Vent Mount that came with mine to put it right in the center, below the radio. It's probably not the nicest looking spot, but its within reach of my right hand just like the rest of the controls, and keeps all the wires nicely contained.

if you go to tssradio.com, they use to stock vehicle mounts. You search based on year and model. They sold one for the Explorer that would mount to the two screws on the right side of your stereo behind the trim paneling, and then extend out to the right so it was side by side with your head unit. Its definately the strudiest option, but i never bit the bullet and got one.

Have you purchased the Sirius receiver yet? If not, have you considered just replacing your entire head unit with a Sirius-ready radio? It will look better, sound better, and might not be all that much more money.

ETA: Sorry, I saw your name and thought this was for the '98. The 2010 didn't come with a Sirius ready head unit?

Personally i like the Sirius Unit better. For the same monthly price and for a lot less than replacing an entire head unit, it can pause and rewind thru what you're listening to, you can browse channels by categories and see whats playing without changing the station your on and you can set-up alerts for artists, songs, and sports teams. My girlfriend just got a new Hyundai with built in XM, and was a little dissappointed at the features it was lacking. It's like having HD Cable but not having a cable box to show you a guide.

I like the external one because I take it in my other vehicles and my home. Just need to find a nice mounting place. The one on TSS looks like something I could fab up myself.
