The data buttons (weather, travel, sports etc...) stops updating. Have done a couple refreshes and master resets with Sirius radio. They recommend I take to dealer for check. Did this and all they did was a master reset, which of course doesn't fix issue? Anyone else have issues where radio works, but not the data information?

This has nothing to do with the radio and everything to do with SIRIUS itself. You can check your subscribed services by going to Navigation/Menu/Travel Link/Subscriptions. I assume that you are subscribed to SIRIUS Travel Services? If you are, then I suggest calling Sirius.
I'm moving your post to the IVT Forum. It would also be helpful to the members if you added the model of your Explorer to your profile so that it appears in the margin when you post.

ford explorer 2013 sirius data issue

Thank you for moving to the appropriate group. Talked to Sirius several times and have spent hours on the phone doing refreshes and master resets. Sirius techs say it maybe a chip problem on the vehicle? Has anyone else had this issue?

Sorry - I'm not understanding your issue. What is not updating? The channel lineup listed on the radio?

If that's the case, it won't update until Ford reissues the channel lineup in a software update. It's one of their better ideas.

If it is something else, please expand your description of the problem a bit.

I think he means that the individual Travel Link services won't load. They just sit there with the little icon going around and around and around etc.

Try a 20 minute battery positive terminal disconnect.

Hi wxgary23,

Do you get the spinning "thinking" circles on all of your Travel Link options, or just some of them? I'd like to take a look at your software, please shoot me your VIN in a private message when you get a chance.

travel link not working update

Hi All,

Yes all I got for the travel link was turning circles. I took to a second dealer and they did a factory reset and all is well. It is working faster and better then ever. Don't think it was ever quit right and I never knew it.

Do you mean they did a 'reset' on the MFT? If so, I'm not sure how that differs from a Master Reset.

From the systems menu there is a "master reset" choice and "restore to factory settings" choice. Don't know what the difference is, but the master reset did nothing to start the travel link working and the restore to factory settings got everything working and updating correctly?

Thanks for that info. Don't recall ever seeing that "Restore to factory settings" option.

Peter

Well thanks for the company Rebecca. I'm confused as well. Although in my case it may be a semi permanent state, I have never seen the 'Restore to factory settings' option on either the MFT or MLT screens.
