My HU I have right now says Sirius ready on the box. Does that mean I could just start paying the $13 a month or do I have to buy the thing that is $120... What does sirius ready even mean... It's a Clarion DXZ545MP

If it's like my "XM-Ready" Pioneer unit, you need an external tuner (and antenna) plugged into it (that's what I did). Total cost was around $170 for me.

alpine has a new hu that has it built in,just add antenna

Yeah, tuner and antenna, and then the whole subscription thing.
My Kenwood HU is Sirrus ready, but I keep changing my mind on doing any thing.

I have a kenwood head unit with Sirius ready. I actually got the Sirius and love it. I paid $9.99 per month. Wel worth it. For the Ford Explorer Regular Head Unit with Sirius ready, u need to go to the Ford Dealer to get the stuff u need. No dealers sell it except Ford.
