I tried to lube the slip yoke on my '94 today, but believe the 12 pt bolts at the fwd end of the rear drive shaft are 12mm. Is this correct? What is the recommended grease for this?

Yup 12mm and White Lithium(Sp) grease.

BTW, I could not remove the 4 bolts. So I took the two one time clamps off the rubber boot and pulled the boot down a few inches. And inserted the grease gun hose under the boot and filled it with grease. It worked fine, but im not sure how well the spindle was greased?

Thanks. Sort of thought it would be 12MM as 13 mm& 1/2 in seemed somewhat loose. I did start to get a bite on the bolts and they are pretty tight. Soaking them in Kroil. Gotta buy the 12mm before I round the heads.
I believe it would be better to disassemble it and lube.
Need to change all the radiator hoses as well. I performed a detailed visual insp of the rad. hoses yesterday and found a chafed heater hose. Was laying on the frame, right side. Already wore thru what looks like an asbestos sleeve. 108k so far with no major problems with my X.
