Slow leak in tire...anything I can do?

I believe patching is the only way to repair a tire. If worse comes to worse, put a tube inside the tire. I repair tires sometimes at work, and most leaks are repairable (unless the tire is worthless). Good luck

I have used plugs for 40 years (owned service stations) and never had a problem. The key is proper installation. You're right that patches are the best way to repair.

If people would just properly install them.

ps - I accidently edited your post( went to quote and accidently erased it and started typing what i wanted to say). But I think I fixed it to what you said before. I'm a newb to this moderator stuff

Best Repair that is available is the Plug-Patch combination where the plug is attached to the patch.

this is the only repair allowed that will allow a tire to be covered by warranty if a defect is found like ply-separation.

if the tire has ply separation and was only repaired with a plug or patch and not the combination, then the tire defect is not warrantied because air has gotten inbetween the plies because of an improper repair.

^thats how it is where i work anyways.

That is interesting. I call them Umbrella patches. I only use those on bigger holes. Good information though about the tire warranty.
