Smashed mirror, recommendations?

I went out this morning to find someone had smashed my driver's side mirror. I found a couple on ebay. Does anyone have experience with All New Parts (allnewparts) or AM Auto Parts (am-autoparts)? They both have good feedback. Or do you have another suggestion? What about puddle lights? Is the wiring already there or would I have to run it? Thanks.

OEM factory parts are the best option for fit finnish and quality.

OEM Factory parts are better quality. I got one off Ebay however and it's fit and finish is great. The only thing I don't like is that the mirror glass vibrates slightly while driving and the original factory mirror glass doesn't move at all.

Go to a junkyard and get an OEM one.

I ordered one off of ebay Friday last week. I can tell you how I like it when it gets here. It was $10 less than what the pick and pull yard wanted, and I didn't have to drive 2 hours to get it.

I compared the price on ebay to car-part.com

and bought one on ebay. May be Chinese. I'll try to post my results. Any hints to the install? I replaced the one on my 93 Bronco twice, so I'm not expecting any trouble. Thanks again.

You'll have to remove the door panel and on the inside there will be 3 metric nuts you have to remove and also unclip the electrical connector. Make sure when removing the 3 nuts that you don't accidentally drop them into the bottom of the door panel. You'll see what I'm talking about when you remove the water shield. Good luck. It isn't hard.

On my 95, I bought a mirror off ebay and it did not stay on flush. So I bought a OEM one and had no problems.

I bought some stuff from the three "companies" that sell parts on ebay, they took forever to ship, and the parts quality was poor. I guess its a little too late, but if what you bought doesn't pan out, look up Karl, "kabiak" on here, he has great prices on salvage parts.

My mirror was delayed by the ice storm, I should have it tomorrow. Was pretty quick shipping. The company was All New Parts. Again, I'll let you know how the install goes as well as the fit when I get it.

Okay, I got the mirror and have installed it. It was really very easy, and the fit is nice. It seems like the base of the mirror doesn't quite extend far enough to line up with the existing trim (I'll get pics later) but I'm sure I won't be able to tell once it's dirty like the rest of my ex. I haven't noticed any rattles or anything, so for me it was a great purchase. Also, the all new parts place on ebay shipped really fast as well. Here's a little write-up I did just to chronicle it. After driving with the mirror on a bit, there is a definite noticeable vibration. It probably wouldn't bug me as much if I wasn't looking for it. The mirror serves it's purpose, but there is a difference between it and the OE mirror which is solid.

Venom, you described my replacement mirror word for word bro. Fit isn't perfect, and it vibrates a little. When my system hits though, the mirror looks as if it's going to competely pop out, lol. Oh well. We saved some money and it serves it's purpose.

I just got both 95-01 aftermarket mirrors onto my 91 and 93 door(99 Explorer). The right side fit not so well, I used some Ultra Black RTV to fill the gap. The left mirror fit much better.

BTW, always use some RTV along the leading edge, mainly for wind noise. It will also reduce some vibration. Good luck,

I installed the mirror I got from allnewparts. The job was straight forward and pretty easy. Yes, I did drop one of the nuts, but able to retrieve it from inside the door by using a coat hanger. The mirror looks good, nearly stock. BUT, it does vibrate, even when sitting at a light. Also the range of motion is less than stock and the up/down action is wired backward. I'll probably go new or used stock next time.
