seems I get one thing fixed and something else breaks :(

just got the exhaust manifolds replaced by a friend who has declared he never wants to see the explorer again. Unfortunately whilst it was getting sorted the passenger side torsion bar has given up and sheared at the front end were it enters the wishbone.

I'm looking for advise on whether it's really worth continuing or if I'm better to cut my losses.

I've no idea how big a job the torsion bar is to replace or even if I can get one in the UK :(

hi it a fairly easy job the old one should come out of the lower arm with a hammer and drift . the rear end will fall out once the cover is removed. you should be able to get a second hand one from some one breaking one and just slot it back in the lower arm with the suspention hanging down then readjust and replace cover.
cheers chris

that sounds pretty simple, I'll get hold of a replacement in that case and see how I go.

Thanks Chris :)
