Has anyone ever placed a snorkel on a 92 explorer?

I would like to. Im not sure, but i think that the intake is under the bumber. The intake is not far from the ground. The only problem with a snorkel would be the routing into the airbox. Would you need a different box? I think that a snorkel would be a greater air intake than any under hood systems. Im no pro but wouldn't the air be colder throu a snorkel, there might be just as much air resistance as the stock system but Im sure it would be beter.
so to sum it up, what snorkel would work, and wouldn't it look cool?
Thanks for reading and for the help.

I'm doing a low-rise version on my 92. I'm running a simple hood scoop that I picked up on eBay backwards - hole saw the hood - and run flexible tubing to the bottom of the airbox. I will disconnect the factory tube, except that I'm leaving part of it intact to act as a drain for the airbox. While it won't deal with water over the top of the hood, I rarely ever get in that deep, and mainly need to get the air flow up higher than the stock front of grill intake, which always seems to fill my airbox with mud.

One of these days I'll get r' done and post a pic or two. I've got it all figured out, but not installed as yet. Should work out great - total cost around $35.

ya that should work great good luck on the flex tubing

I've got three types that I'm playing around with right now...

Shop Vac hose, Aluminum dryer venting, and RV flexible sewer line. I sort of like the RV stuff best, but it is a tad stiff.
