had a tire off the ground a few times, almost rolled it, almost took a mirror off but all in all just alot of scratches that buffing will get out 99% of.
I actually have a question. I needed 4 low a few times,I used 4 high and auto. but twice the drivetrain felt like it locked up. What had happened is, I was going over some large rocks on the side of a cliff with half of the trail washed away. Drivers side is the cliff side, pass side is very steepthere was a large rock on the left side that I decided to run the left tires on and the right tires needed to climbthe very steep embankment. ASo in 4 low I start to take it just when my left front tire hits the rock and i am atleast at this angle /, everything on the drivetrain locked up it felt like i was trying to push over a building but with no tire slip. So I got out and looked underneath and was clearing everything, so i got back in and it still felt the same then i put it in reverse backed up a few feet then took it no problem. But I must say it was pretty hairy.then coming to another hard spot, close to the other spot, but a little harder, but not on a cliff. so big jagged rock to the left will bottom out by a foot easy if i try to stradle it it is sticking out to the right at a 20 degree angle about 2 ft around coming to a blunt point. to the right is a 60 degree angle hill, i was in 4 lowwent to the right and the same thing happened when I was sideways the whole drivetrain locked up i revved it a little but i didnt want to break anything, so I tried the back up thing and lockup in the same spot. So i backed up and put it in 4 high and went through without lockup but i had to fold in my mirror or the rock woulda.
Got to another spot climbing a steep sandy hill with 1-2 foot boulders all around went at it in 4 high when i got to the top where it leveled off 1 front tire started to lose traction spitting dirt everywhere, but I got over the hill. so I turned around( wasnt willing to go any further with the tree growth i woulda lost my sheet metal)but I decided to take that last hill again in 4 auto.
i started slow ended fast with no tire slip. I used 4 auto the rest of the time going back and no slip or lockup of any kind. Does anyone know what could have been happening with the apparent lockup of the drivetrain?
