the cooper discoverer M+S is mainly a snow tire that is stud-able, but they work very well in the summer as well... another cooper to look at, and is more of an all-season, discoverer ATR. im running them on my explorer, and i think ill get a little more life outa them just for the fact that their more of an allseason. so far they've been great in mud, snow, and rain (living in canada, we get lots of all three). but i do also know lots of ppl who run M+S all year round and get great life out of them. cooper tires are all around awesome.

i just bought some Michelin LTX AT-IIs and, in the 2 wks I've had them, they seem absolutely solid. Excellent traction and exceptionally quiet on the road.
The coopers seem like they do well too. I just liked the Michies because Costco had their $70.00 off routine.

I have some 30" Pathfinder Radial ATR from Discount Tire. I love them!! They have good traction, look great. Going for some 31" next time.

Indeed, I've had them on my Ex for two years now. Nothing but good things to say about them. They're not going to last as long as the LTX M/S's that were on before these (they went 99,942 miles and would have gone another 10k to the wear bars, but winter was coming) but that's mainly because I had a slight alignment issue for a year. But at the current rate, they'll probably out-last the truck!

I like the AT-II's so much I put them on my F-150 back in august. They stick like glue, ride great on the freeway, did excellent in the sand, and should be seeing the snow here in the next few weeks.

I also noticed that Ford is now installing them from the factory on some of the new F-150 4x4s... That should say something about their quality!

One other option is the general grabber at2. I have them on my truck. They are a more agrressive tread pattern similar to that of the bfg a/t, but these are much cheaper. I did some offroading with them and they work very well and i love the traction i get in winter here in wisconsin.

i just got bfg all terrains. im lovin them. the blizzard missed me so i havn't tried them out in the snow, but so far they're great.
