SOHC Motor differences

I was wondering what the differences between the v6 from an 01 sport trac and a v6 from an 04 explorer?

Visually to me, they look the same. I know the intakes are different and the EGR valves are on the opposite sides of the motor.

Are the timing components the same? The heads look to be the same as well. Harmonic balancers are the same diameter and have the same spacing on the crank sensor teeth.

I have an 04 explorer but picked up a spare motor from an 01 sport trac. just want to know what is usable.

I figured someone would have some info.

As of know, I know they use the same timing components, same harmonic balancer, same heads, same front cover(timing) and water pump. I believe they are the exact same motors, not 100% sure yet.
