SOHC V6 starting and running issues after air filter change.

Hi everyone

I have some issues with my 99 Explorer SOHC V6, recently replaced the air filter for the service myself and now it doesn't start well or run right, I have since this issue replace the filter back, new MAF, air idle control valve, but still no change, it stalls a little later than before, it ran perfectly up until I replaced replaced that air filter, I touched nothing else, I have also got a throttle position sensor to fit but the screws are sooooooo tight.

Any ideas guys? Thank you very much.

Have you scanned for trouble codes? CEL does not have to be lit to have stored DTC's.

Stop guessing by throwing expensive parts at it and post the code numbers, if any. GL

Clean the throttle body as well as you can, and make sure no hoses or connectors came off between the filter box and throttle body.
