Hi guys,
I just recently fixed a brake light problem my 04 Explorer had. The other thing is that the cruise control didn't work either... The bulbs and fuses were fine but my brake light didn't work. The only solution I found in this forum was to replace the the brake switch which is attached to the brake pedal lever. Well, instead of replacing it, I simply opened it up, remove the two metal strips to allow me to sand both contact points. I used 150 grit sandpaper. Then carefully replace everything and voila! It's all good since.
I hope that this can help some of you that are experiencing this problem
Cheers
