Some Exhaust Questions...please help

Ok I have a 99' Limited Explorer AWD 5.0L
I all ready know what kind of muffler I want...which would be a Flowmaster 50 series, I know some people might say a bit loud but me personally its what I like. I also want to run dual tips out the back

So the question is what to do with exhaust

1. Just get a whole catback system and weld it up in?
2. If I a am going to run dual tips would you guys just run 2 inlet and 2 out or "Y-Pipe" before muffler and run 1 in/ 2 out or what?

Please any info relating is nice...

I want to change my Magnaflow exhaust to we put on my girlfriends Mounty!

Cut the pipes up to the last cats, weld on 2 1/2" pipes to one dual in/dual out Flowmaster 40 series muffler, then 2 1/4" pipes to bend around the spare, to two 3 1/2" slash cut stainless tips 12" long. Sounds sooooo nice! The single muffler also acts as a crossover pipe.

Her gas mileage has gone up, when I drive it.
When she drives it goes down. She loves the sound and stomps the loud pedal alot.
