somewhat funny story

Well Yesterday it snowed like crazy here in Jerzee, Like 13 inches. So im driving around town in my X and i see a chineese guy thats stuck in the snow. I ask him if he needs any help. He says Yea Please. So i tell him hes got two choices, i can either pull him from the front, or push him from the back (Ive never done this before but have always wanted to ) He said since im already behind him to just push the car from behind (Hes driving a 97 Nissan Maxima) I told him whatever happens to your car im not responsible for. He agreed. Well he puts the car in drive and starts giving it gas, im creeping up to the back of it. He says ok start pushing. Im giving the truck gas and all of a sudden my truck winds up climbing his car. I wound up going up the back end of the maxima!! I had my mom and sister in the truck and they were like HOLLY SHI*!! As soon as it happened i put the truck in reverse quickly.. I think i only got up to his bumper?? All i know is i saw the horizon shift. HAHAH. I really didnt think my truck could do that sorta thing (its gotta be the snow).. Well i wound up pulling the guy out from the front with my tow strap and there was no major damage done to the back of his car. Just scratches, but the bumer stayed on.... By far the coolest story i got about my truck.

when you said push from behind, i was like 'why the hell would he wanna do that?! just mess up his ex'... then I noticed the bumper guard. I got a tow strap to use if people ever need help, but I'm almost afraid to use it now... even if you say you take no responsibility, you never know why they might try and come after you for.

I woulda liked to see the chinese guy's face when he is looking in his rear view mirror and sees your car start to climb up the rear of his =P

Watch those straps

Been a while, but the last time I towed a car with a strap, it snapped and took out my tail light on the rebound. You can't control the driver in the other vehiccle. If they get nervous and slam on the brakes, something gona give.

Yea I would have liked to see the look on his face when he saw oilpan out the rear window!But I also agree that even if he said you are not resposable, he could change his mind or it may not have even been his car! Moms, Dads, Girlfriend, whatever.Glad it turned out OK.That could have been ugly.I allways wanted to drive over a car!

Since he had witnesses to the verbal agreement he was good. Either witnesses or a written waiver are needed.

thats why you put a coat or somethin along those lines over the strap when your pulling someone. it in effect kills the rebound of the strap.

I don't have a tow strap, so I use a good old fashioned chain. Harder to snap those.
