Soon coming, 97 XLT

Another 97 XLT lol.
But anyways, building back up my 97 a beat up front end. Bad fender, bumper, hood, header panel, and the works.
I'll have pics up tomorrow when it's daylight out.
So far I've got some pretty decent deals on things.
Radiator- $60
Hood, fender, and front bumper-$60
I've had the truck for about a year and a half and have decided to start working on it.
Bad timing lol. Got till June till I ship to basic training getting it all one piece at a time.
I got the truck for $800 pretty good deal nothing serious has gone wrong with it. It has 228,000 miles and still running strong. I'm just gonna primer the hood and fender black for now. Not enough money to paint it just yet. Going to get a header panel from the junkyard tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get it all on tomorrow and post pics.

I've owned my 99 since new, and wrecked it bad last year, check out my photos, it was all done in my garage on the cheap. Hood, header panel, grill, bumper everything. I didnt even think of getting rid of it. we'd been through so much together i had to keep it. Good luck with the repairs.

Wow that's a nice job on the '99 there.
You can't get rid of them they're too good of trucks.
Sucks I didn't get too many shots of it before.
It was pretty junked up though. Didn't get a close up of the grill.
But here's a work in progress.

Broke my heart seeing it like this lol.

Yeah I know it's red but it was a good deal.
Some good black primer tomorrow will do the trick gonna do the fenders and hood tomorrow.

I know how you feel. Having put every mile on my car since day one it was tough to look at it in the driveway like that. But it gave me something to do while laid off and let me sneak in some mods while it was torn up. Looks Nice

Yeah they're "fun" trucks to work on sometimes. Getting that beat up header panel was a breeze. Just rip it off : After I prime it up and slap a needed coat of wax on it and post pics.
Getting it all together one piece at time.
I've got till June to slap some more stuff together on it. Who knows what's in store for the "mods." Then I'll come back and might do a little more to it but not sure. Getting a Mustang with the 15k sign on bonus :

Still gonna do some more work on it. Tax time rolls around gonna get it painted black. I've always liked the 2nd gens black
