This mod was done months ago, but I was taking some pictures and decided to post this one of the intake...I think it turned out OK. The best part is that it's friction held and extremely non-permanent. I'm not sure how anyone else made an adapter, but mine is from a 3" piece of exhaust welded to a piece of 16 gauge sandwiching a 1/4" thick piece of rubber used as a gasket. Too bad none of it is visible.

I like looks great:D

Looks good.
Whered you get the diamond plate for your heat sheild, and did you have to cut it like that?

Looks great! I am working on a similar shield except fiberglass. Does the diamond plate get hot and are you feeding your cold air chamer with any sort of scoop or tube? Thanks.........

Diamond plate was from a friend who works at a metal fabricator. They were gonna throw it out so he grabbed it for me. I used up most of it to make a custom pick guard and trem cover for my strat and had some left over.

I had to cut it to fit (whick isn't hard w/ a 12" compound miter saw retrofitted w/ a metal blade).

No tubes/etc feeding it...the bottom of the airbox is still in there.

I haven't noticed any excessive heat.

Thanks for the comments!

looks good... nice work....
