Driving around for the last 4 days with no interior in has gotten me seriously thinking about adding this.

Thanks Joe, You have me thinking now. That would be a nice upgrade.

Isn't it amazing how f'n loud that thing is? I just drove mine to the car wash with nothing in there, and a stool to sit on, and it was unreal how loud...

Loud? Are we talking about the same 302 and stock exhaust here? I drove wedgie today and couldn't get over how quiet it was even when I stepped on it. It was like a soft whisper compared to mine. We won't talk about my life flashing before my eyes when I went around the corner getting on to the interstate though.

Much louder in there when the only thing inside the truck is you, a stool, and a folded up carpet. :D

yea without the carpet you get alot of noise going on.

Spend a few hours in munk and your ears will ring a bit

I remember driving around without carpet after swamping Christine. Not fun. I'll have to look into this for my 89 Land Cruiser.

Don really did his research when he started SDS. Good guy and good product. Can't wait to get some stuff for my next project.

Great link Joe! I'm always looking for new ways to make anything quieter and I think you nailed it. Everything on that site is pretty cheap for the most part.

I use Edead 80 from Elemental Designs. It cost $2 per square foot You can order the amount you need instead of packages like dynamat sells. I used about 125 sq ft in my Ranger. I had enough dynamat to do the doors. I bought the Edead off Craigslist for 90 cents a ft. My Ranger is quieter than my wifes Grand Marquis. I have rubber floor mats too.
