Okay, I've replaced the transmission after finding a leak in the last one. (Bell housing was cracked) I actually had a 'new to me' Tranny and transfer case sitting in the truck and had just been putting off installing them. (half the mileage of the previous
)
Now though, when I step on the gas at any speed over 60kph (~45mph) it sounds like there is a cricket under the dash. It's only when I am accelerating and only for a few seconds, but it is definitely there - where it wasn't before. Any ideas?
And the truck had never engaged into 4 low since I bought it, so the transfer case and shift motor were changed out as well. This hasn't, however, fixed the 4 low. It still won't engage, so does this mean I should be checking the electrical between the dash and the shift motor since 4 low just won't engage with either t-case? (And yes, I have tried switching while in neutral with the brake fully depressed)
