I've got a 95 eddie bauer... I heard about spacers that you can put on the axle before the rim, so that the tires sit a little wider. My understanding is that most people use them when they install a larger tire- What are the disadvantages to this? I was thinking of getting some so that my tires sit a little closer to the edge of the eb ground effects... right now they're clear inside, looking incredibly skinny. What sizes can i get, and where can i get them? Any help or advice would be great-

the spacers that are just discs suck... if you want spacers get the good kind that uses its own studs and lugs.... this will mean twice as many lug nuts but at least they arent the crappy ones... they should be made of biliit aluminum and come from a reputable company..... spacers used properly with the high quality ones will last a long time.... but may wear out bearings faster...but no more than a wider rim with more offset would..... look to pay about $200 for good spacers
