I did a search on here, it seems that mostly everyone is reccomending the Motorcraft Double PLatnuims. I have a 95 V6 4.0 OHV. I heard a rumor, I dont know how much truth is to it, but I heard that Autolite makes plugs for Ford. Anyone know about that? I just want to get as much performance I can out of this to make my engine run better. I have 80,000 miles on it and I still have not changed the spark plugs, which I wanna do.

My friend and I put some Autolite platinums in his X a month or so ago. Haven't heard of him having any problems. We had to gap them before putting them in, but so far so good.

I did read, and believe, that the ignition systems use the double plug fire method. Since the current is reverse in 1/2 the plugs you want double platium plugs for the longest life.

Ford ignition products use to be made by Autolite. Sometime in the late 70's or early 80's Ford dropped Autolite and formed Motorcraft.

I run autolite coppers (1.30 each) for nitrous and I have had no problems yet
