Spark Plug Wires

So I thought I was doing a good thing. I tried to replace the spark plugs, wires, and coil pack on my wife's 99 Explorer 4.0. I had no trouble with the passenger side, but when I got to the drivers side, I couldn't get the individual wires out. I had to pull all three together. So needless to say I don't know the order the wires should go. I wrote down the numbers that were on the coil pack, but not the wires location on the engine.

So, I know the coil pack had the wires in the following locations..

Rear

3 4
2 6
1 5

I thought I was told that the cylinders are numbered from front to back on the passenger side, and circles around front rear to front on the drivers side. Which would be as follows:

3 4
2 5
1 6

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cylinder numbering

The cylinders are numbered as shown below.

rear
3 6
2 5
1 4
front

Make sure that you get 5 on the coil pack connected to #5 cylinder.
