www.Fordpartsnetwoork.com has the stock Ford wires at a discount price. If you E-Mail them, the owner "Torrie will E-Mail you back. Seems like a nice guy. Some of the guys hers use Jacob wires. If you plan on keeping your ignition stock the Ford wires are all you need.
Welcome to the site! I'm fairly new here to.

Their prices & shipping costs are very reasonable.
The Taylor Spiro wires are excellent. They have high quality 'heat jackets' that go over the plug ends for the rear two cylinders. These are critical on the 5.0 engines, since the exhaust manifold is so close to the plug insets.
The correct part number is is TAY-72623......so long as the '98 5.0 coil pack (distributor) is the same as the '99 - in that the '99s have clip on connectors at the coil-end of the wire. If the '98's have the standard 'slip on' connectors at the coil-end, then take a look at Ford Racing wiresets. They're nice, & well priced....available at many parts houses.
Also, that number may be for the blue wires....I think you can get blue, black and maybe red in the Spiros.
Of course proper routing is critical, so if you're replacing oem wires, do yourself a favor and take some pictures of how they're routed before taking them off. And one other thing.....if you're replacing o.e.m. wires, Keep the aluminum heat sheilds for the two rear cylinder wires. It's a good idea to install these under the heat jackets that come with the Spiro's, and some other wire brands. The rigidity of the oem sheilds will make the install of the rear cyl wires much easier. Getting these rear wires properly installed & seated on the plugs is a p.i.t.a. to say the least.
If you need wire routing pics, let me know. I'll send you some.
