im currently using bosh platinum irridium fusion plugs in my 4.0l ohv.put them in about 12-13k miles ago.but i been seeing a lot of these e3 plugs.they seem to be a real good plug.i was just wondering if it would be worth the time and money to chenge from the ones i have now to the e3's? i paid $60.00 for 6 of the bosh irridium's.everything runs fine, just was curious if i could get better performance out of the e3's?thanks for any help.

I think you will get better performance with anything other than Bosch plugs.

Good luck ....

yea i hear that a lot.but why are they so bad, bosh?i mean $10.00 a plug.....plus reading on them, they sound like a great plug.i mean the truck runs fine now, maybe i'll just hold off until its time to change the plugs, then pick a better one.

Would it be best to run the ford recommended plugs for it from Ford themselves?

Not necessarily. The Motorcraft Platinums are very good plugs, but there are also other good plugs out there. NGK Iridiums are excellent, A/C Delco platinum plugs are good. I run the NGK Iridiums in my Mach 1.

Bosch plugs in general have had issues. The + anything series are a ripoff. I haven't dealt with the Bosch iridiums, but have with their other plugs and was not impressed at all.

yea i hear a lot about the ngk plugs.and autolite.i know there is others, but can't think of them right now.....

denso is another good plug i hear.and nology silver plugs.

a correction on the plugs im using.they are the Bosch Platinum Ir Fusion plugs. i just left out the fusion part.

The + anythings block air/fuel mixture flow to the plug, I had them in my firebird the +4's and they made the truck run like crap so I got rid of them. I just picked up a set of e3's that I am putting in tonight or tomorrow, couldn't get my hands on a good set of wires though so I'm stuck with borg warner something or others till I can get some magnacores.

yea let us know how you like the e3's.thats what i posted this thread over anyway.if it would be worth getting them instead of my Bosch Platinum Ir Fusion plugs.
