Advice needed as to what plugs would be best, and how difficult it may be to change them.
Thanks.

One of many posts searching "spark plugs" in the 2001-2005 ST forum. Most use the OEM Motorcraft SP-500
FineWire Platinum or Autolite APP103 Double Platinum. Check gap @ .054 and lightly coat threads with anti seize.
Remove the front passenger tire and work from below for ease of access to plug #3 . Instructions linked below.

Stick with motorcraft. These engines like to reject most other plugs and wires.

The hardest part for me was pulling the wires off the old plugs, especially on the passengers side. It is pretty hard to get leverage. Gloves will keep the cuts on your hands to a minimum.

Spark plug pliers may be the best $10 spent for saving arms, hands, knuckles from scrapes and cuts when removing plug boots.

$1.50 pocket pack of dielectric grease for the spark plug wire boots works wonders. Apply a thin coat
with Q-Tip. Use the remainder on electrical and bulb sockets. Trailer light connector is a great start.

Hopefully Santa puts some of those in my stocking!

I wrapped pliers in electrical tape to pull my boots off. Then again I have a body lift and SAS so that helped for clearance issues lol.

Motorcrafts would be fine you don't need anything too fancy. I run Motorcraft plugs in my 92 Mustang pushing 10LBS of boost and they're fine.
