I removed this from the 2001 RWD Sport Trac I am selling. Over 15,000 on road miles on it, at least a third of that towing a 5,000 lb boat. Zero wear on the teeth or metal in the gear oil that was drained from the axle.
This is going into the 2007 I am in the process of refurbishing. This works great to lock up the rear wheels in slippery conditions or when pulling the boat out of the water at the ramp.
Slight change in driving habits help, no acceleration through sharp turns. Clicking is slight and not offensive when it slips as designed.
