I have a band pass box that holds three 12 inch subs,is it bad to have them in there backwards with the baskets pointing out? When I get up on the volume it seems like the speakers are popping, but I think they are just battiling for airspace.Am I right?Should I just turn them back around? Thanks for any help Brad in Iowa

that box must be f'in huge! bandpass boxes for a single sub are supposed to be large, 3 subs in a bp box must take up the whole cargo area and then some.

i recommend going with a good sealed or vented enclosure for the three subs. you'll get a much better sound and it'll hit harder throughout the sub bass frequency range.

The box itself weighs 75 pounds,I have another box sealed box that is half its size.I finshed the wiring the guy that had the subs last had the third sub wired wrong it was backwards it made my job a little easier.Do you think the subs are fighting for space in that box?

oh, and the direction of the subs in the enclosure wont harm them. just make sure the polarity is correct for the way they are mounted.

it's very possible. they do require a LOT of airspace in a bandpass box.
