speaker fitting

so i just decided to quit being lazy and do an install in my mountaineer after two years of having nothing.

re-ran all wiring built box etc. now ive ran into a problem...

im trying to run ID cx62's in the doors but they are too deep and hit the window track. i then made a spacer and they fit but then the door panel doesnt. anyone have any suggestions how to fit these without custom panels? i have other speakers that fit, i would just much rather run the ID's

Cut the door panels so that the speaker will stick out, if done right it will give them a great custom look... I would also recommend putting a grill over the speaker to prevent damage to it.

have any pictures of door panels done this way...i could glass them also but im going for as little work as possible
