Another audio question…

Is it possible to power the 4 door speakers from the HU ( JVC KD SH99 ) and then also hook up a 2 ch amp to power a set of component speakers mounted in the kick panels?

If so, what will be gained? Lost?

Thoughts and suggestions please……….

yeah, its possible. What are you looking to gain? You will get louder sound from the kick panels and depending on what size speakers depends on what kinda sound. If you want bass, I think you can get some 6" speakers in kick panels which would sound nice and then a tweeter next to that would be cool. Have you replaced the stock speakers? If so, why dont you amp them?

Kick panels generally have a lot better imaging than door speakers. The door speakers play into your legs, while the kickpanels are more aimed at your face. It will raise the sound stage which is good. I can't think of any thing that would be negative. I have 4 Fosgate 6x8's and 2 Blaupunkt 4 way DVC 6x9's that I love. The Fosgate run off of the deck and the Blau's run of of a Mtx 2 channel. The 2 extra speakers sound great, but thats prob. the 6 tweeters on 'em.

i dont know if u have a sub or not....but with my system, im running the door speakers off the HU, and the 2 10s definately overpower the door speakers...i wish i had amped all the door speakers.

so if u have a sub, the extra speakers would probably help even out the highs and lows, if you dont...it couldnt hurt!!
