Spectre air filter on my explorer pics and possible walkthrough

Hey I got some help a few weeks ago on my rust problem and i just put on my new spectre air filter so i thought id throw up some pics

i think it looks pretty good also it makes my truck sound like a v8 and my torque is noticeable higher also i did the zip tie mod on my gas pedal and its amazing.

Catback exhaust/muffler replacement.

I'd say spring for a Dynomax Super Turbo catback if you have the money, otherwise just cutting out the stock muffler and putting in a 2" / 2.25" Dynomax, (or even a $20 Thrush turbo from the parts store) will compliment the air filter nicely.

Don't forget to clean the Mass Airflow Sensor, and the throttle body, too.

Yea that is what i was thinking along with some new shocks i can get some for 30 a piece and a shop near my house will put them in for 12 dollars each
will putting in a new muffler require any welding or can i do it with clamps?

12 dollars each to put in shocks? Come on.

I'd say go buy yourself a set of wrenches and sockets at Sears/Kmart, or even walmart, and remove the old ones and install the new ones yourself. It's NOT hard at all.

Otherwise, the full cat-back systems from Dynomax and Flowmaster are completely bolt-on as well.

honestly the zip tie mod is so easy it hurts get on the floor and look up at where the pedal attaches to two cables the one that pulls when the pedal is pushes is the one that takes the zip ties. if you pull the pedal all the way away from the floor and that cable has slack put 2 or 3 zip ties between the pedal and the metal tip on the cable

What is the purpose of a cold air intake when your drawing hot air from under the hood.Wouldnt it be better to mount the air filter under the battery so you cold get cool air from the outside?
