Sway bar bushings.

oh ok so what r those and is that usually the problem

The sway bar bushings are also referred to as your stabilizer bars. 1 in front, 1 in rear. They prevent your truck from rolling side to side while cornering and they act to stabilize the vehicle at other times. The OEM bushings are rubber and deteriorate over time or just plain go soft. I replaced mine before the squeaks and groans, but after 17 years, I figured they needed it. Even for a novice, it shouldn't take more than an hour to replace the bushings on each bar. They're very easy to replace and you can pick them up at any parts store. Get the polypropelene. They're harder rubber and wear longer.

ok so how much do you all think this will cost at the shop because i have no idea how to do it

I honestly couldn't tell you how much at a shop. I've never had anything dealing with suspension done at a shop. I've always bought the Haynes manual and done it myself - all 17 years worth with this truck. Just as a guess, though, I'd say to take it to someplace you trust and have about $250 on hand. Most of the others on here are probably smarter on this and can give better advice. Sorry.

thanks for the advice and i hope my truck lasts for 17 years lol

Broken Springs?

I had the same noise, but mine was caused by broken springs. Both in the rear were cracked an separated, I replaced them and it fixed the problem. I have also heard this can be common due to bad metal used to make the springs?!?

Though sway bar bushings sound like a common problem too.
