Ok, I've just put the black (21 tooth) speedo gear in. Now, I'm just wondering if the speedo is corect! I know I could try and find a mile marker - but I live in California, and those pesky things are disguised in the Bay area!

So, my simple question for those of you with 4.56 gears, 5 speed manual, and 33" tires.

When driving 65, what RPM's is your engine running when in 5th gear?

You answer is appreciated!

Thats the correct gear. At least its as close as you will get. Thats the same combo I run right now. I have a GPS also which tells me how fast I am going. Usually they are both within 5mph of each other. I think at 65 I am running 2500-2700 rpm, I would have to double check though.

Ok, I just found out 5th gear is, and used a calculator to find rpm vs speed vs gear.

2500 RPM's w/4.56 and 33" tires is what you should be running at 65.

So the black tooth is dead on with my speedo, and the BFG AT/KO's.
