i went from 235 75 15's with 2:08 gears to 31 10.50 15's with 4:10's, what speedo gear should i put in the tranny to get back close to right on the speedo ? wasnt there a stock 4:10 gearing ? what speedo gear was in that ? should be closer than i got now...

No way did you have 2.08 ring and pinion gears?
let me search for the speedo gear calculations...

(current teeth x speed shown) / actual speed

18x65= 1170
1170 / 59 = 19.8

this calculation worked the best for me, my speedo is GPS tested and very accurate. You do however need to know the actual speed you are going (GPS, another car, radar sign, cop) as well as what speedo drive gear is on the end of you sensor right now.


I have 3.73 gears with 33" tires. the tires actually do measure 33" off the ground as well.
this calculation shows that I needed a 20 tooth gear instead of the 18 I was running.

There are other calculation as well, we can continue the search, I know Froader posted them for me before....

3.08 2.08 it all sucks ! lol....even with the 235's it was a slug....
