nope - I am getting ready to find out though

mine has 3.27's and I am hoping to swap them this week - going to Ks Rocks Park in a couple weeks.....

what gear does yours have now?

I just went from a 3:27 to a 3:73 I also have 31" tires

my tires are 32" and I hate slippin the clutch to get moving (high range)

you like the gear swap?

quick calculations

using 31" tires .7 od and 3.27 gears you will be at 1500 rpm at 60 MPH

that goes to 53 MPH at 1500 rpm with the 3.73 gears.

moving tire size down to 28 (approximately stock)

you get

using 28" tires .7 od and 3.27 gears you will be at 1500 rpm at 54 MPH

unless you re geared for the tall tires already, your stock speedo gear should be pretty darn close

Yes I love the gear swap. So much better than before. I was suprised how sluggish it felt with just 31's but I'm glad the gears cleared that all up. It actually feals quicker now. I kind of wanted to go with 4:10's but I drive on some long freeway trips at over 70mph so the rpm's would have been too high. I would have went with 3:90's but they don't make 3:90's for the dana 35. I am off by 5mp in fifth gear. Not too big of a deal but i dont want to be clocking extra miles that I am not really driving. Know what I mean?

if you want the speedo to read slower, count the teeth on the speedo gear and get one with 1 more tooth.

that'll do it

swapped my gears this weekend

makes a HUGE difference!!!!! the big test will be at the OffRoadPark

I told you. I don't know how anyone can deal with driving the truck w/o a gear swap after bigger tires!
