Speedometer doing something strange

Ok so yesterday afternoon while driving down the road. I noticed something funny going on with my speedometer. The tripometer would get to .7 of a mile and the mileage on the car would change to the next higher number. What could be wrong? I don't know how long its been doing this. Like I said I just noticed it yesterday. We left Sam's Club with exactly 170,000 miles on it.

I'm going to do a search on the board, but thought I would do a post first.

When the odometer clicks to the next highest mile reset the trip meter. I think you will find that they are the same....

Thank you for your help, jp450. I did that this morning on the way to take my daughter to school, and it worked. Everything is turning like it is supposed to! Thank you so much for your help!
