Spotlight not working

I just got done installing my new spotlight, love the look. But it doesn't turn on! I've hooked it to the factory spotlight wire on the vehicle. Is there a fuse or something I could check?

Use your $6-15 Volts/Ohms multi-meter you bought at the local WallyMart type store, hardware store, or home improvement store to check for voltage on your power wire. Test continuity to ground also.

I would apply 12 volts positive directly to the spotlight wires to check the functions.
