sputters and stumbles-no codes read???

i have a 2000 exp with sohc 4.0 just bought with 148k on it.problem im having is its idle has a mind of its own.revs to 3-4k rpm then will settle down to like 600rpm and also then when i put in gear runs like shipt.i give it gas or try and it just stumbles and sputters along.i have no error codes.i have check tps sensor both ways(good)ohmed coil pack pri and sec.(good)check fuel pressure.65psi.removed and cleaned injectors.checked maf both ways(good)checked plugs and wires(good)ran seafoam thru system and have cleaned all sensors good.has 1 oily shiny plenum when i removed upper intake she does burn a little oil looks like.No compression yet but engine should have more than enough power to move this thin even at 70 percent of 215 hp right?please help i have torn all my hair out and thats why im bald now!!lmao;Please help.

Did you check your IAC? I would be willing to bet this is your culprit.

i took apart and cleaned.and when i unplug it she dies.also how would the iac have to do with once in gear sputters and stumbles??

Mine would sputter in gear before & dieI replaced it. But since your's died after unplugging it it's not the IAC.
