I could be any number of things. I would check the balljoints first by jacking the truck up and seeing if there's any verticle play in it.

it could be a number of things. wheel bearing, shock, brakes, the knuckle on your cv shaft, or possibly some worn out bushings. if you could be more descriptive about the noise we will be able to help you better.

well it a sqeeking sound...when I swing the truck...or when your driving you can here the suspension sqeeking..

I dont what else I could say.

do you have shackles?

My suspension squeaks, creaks, pops....i think of it as Dora talking to me. Anyway for a possible temporary fix until you can replace them, you could douse the swaybar bushing with brake fluid. It doesn't break down rubber like some other lubricants...just give em a soaking. It's country as hell but it's worked for me before.

Just crank up the radio. Im not help. I know..:p

no shakles !! and I heard it when I put the volume down on the radio !!

any danger over this ?

Yup. If you haven't replaced them, go ahead and do it because it couldn't hurt. Go with the Energy Suspension greaseable bushings.

I had the same that kept getting worse buddy put it on the lift at his shop and told me the steering rack is bad. I replaced and sounds all gone

and that would be how much ? $$$

I looked into it yesterday...and it seems to be coming from the right side..the wheel in itself..no vibration...it seems to make a funny noise when turning when still on a corner ( im not too sure its hard to listen and drive at the same time) , when I swing the truck the souds comes from the wheel..anyway saturday morning I will bring it to my mechanics...any danger with driving it until saturday moring ?

steering rack ran about 5 bills

you mean $500 !!!!!!!! ???????????

yea thats what he means. Maybe its a bearing or hub. Lift that side of the car and pull on the top and bottom of the tire to see if it moves forward or back. If so then you have a problem.

mines actually going into the shop tomorrow morning for the same exact sound... I'm not really keen on car noises but my dad said its a worn bushing. I don't really mind but when I'm driving through parking lots people stare at me probably thinking "oh look at that crappy explorer..." It makes you self-concious after a while. If its actually the sway-bar bushing, that could also explain the clunk-clunk sound I have (I know its not balljoints, had those replaced less than 5k ago) if the swaybar is loose... I'll tell you when it gets out in the afternoon (hopefully with a fix).

allright tx....i m going tomorow morning for my oil change so I l have it check at the same time...I know it s not related to bearings..it s more balljoint or bushing then other things...so I will see ...good luck to you ...I will come back monday and see what was your prob.

update.....ok the upper ball joint was gone so had to get it fixed...the upper ball joint is not sold separatly, you have to changer the arm too...wich is $292 cnd only for the parts..!! (moog greasable) so with the oil change and the ball joint $402 !! but now everything is ok...!!

Glad to see its solved.
