so i put a new belt on say 3 months ago and now its squeeking. it doesnt squeek in the mornings when its cold only once its warm. so im wondering if the belt tensioner isnt workin or i tightend it to much or something. shouildnt the tensioner pick up the slack of a warming belt?

please and thanks

...It would help if you added your engine size...;)

...Your belt tensioner and idler pulleys are common culprits...The easiest way to see if you have other causes is to pull your belt and spin all your pulleys..

...If you do wind up changing the belt tensioner, save yourself a future headache and change the idler(s) at the same time..:hammer:

Misaligned tensioner pulleys are common on the 3.0 Ranger causing belt squeal. Put a straight edge on the tensioner pulley and compare it to the crank pulley... if it's not straight then you've found your poblem.
