in another post I was talking about my rims being tighten to over 225 pounds. I torked them to 100 as my manual says but the hole in the rim is square to oxtagon shaped. I was asked to post a photo here it is.

The front is pulling to the right. I thought it was the right brake pulling because I had a low peddle. I pulled the wheel off today no burn or cuts nice smooth rotor have about 1/8 plus pad left. Caliper iffy I'll post a pic. Rubber on suspension cracked. HOW ABOUT FRONT DIFF? Does the all wheel drive have the wheels locked all the time. Whit the right front wheel in the air I could not spin the tire. In park the wheel was locked. I placed in N and the tire barley spun. You heard the u joint or the front diff make a clunk and hear the front turning. Lots of drag. I had the 3 other wheels on the ground. So could my right front axle grab more that the left causing the pull to the right.

autozone had my two wheel drive calipers for twenty apiece plus core.

The second photo shows my caliper do you think it's shot. I can slam on the brake it stops straight . But the front pulls to right. Steering wheel does not twist.

it may be pulling because the brake is dragging.mine was.new calipers fixed that.

you need new calipers, upper control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, rivets are still around the ball joint so it is probably factory. That rim looks normal to me, my ford ranger has that same rim. Do you know if the outer hubs on the front axle have been replaced?

Yes they have been replaced there shines of gold plating and the boots and bands look new the rubber bushing is a shop job and calls for realinement?

Bench press and an alignment for the upper control arm bushings. If you can put the bracket back in the exact same spot you won't need an alignment, I wasn't that good.

Thanks for the info I see your from Texas if you need info and don't have a book I own a factory ford DVD. Covers all ford cars and trucks from 87? To 97?.

Those front calipers need to be replaced badly. The piston boots are toast from high heat, that is surely the pulling you reported.

Replace calipers in pairs, and it would be smart to also bleed all of the brake fluid out, and consider the caliper hoses too. If it has ABS, try very hard to not allow air to get into the ABS module(air in the line from the master cylinder down to and past the ABS module). Most ABS systems require a special module bleeding tool to get air out of those. Normal bleeding doesn't push any fluid through the module, it just bypasses it.

Try to find a simple golf tee made of wood to plug the brake line when you disconnect the caliper or hose. It should stop the leaking until you are ready to install the new part.

rhank you very much
