95 eddie baurer
I have a 95 eddie baurer and for the last month or so i have had a squeaking under the front that can be heard anytime there is an up or down motion on the front of truck . I had a squeaking there before and replaced the front bushings about 2 years ago . The bushings still look good . what else could be causing the noise?

Welcome to this forum! Your struts could be bad.

struts? no struts to speak of on his truck.

most likely its the balljoints if you're getting squeaking while going over bumps and/or turning at slow speeds/

Not sure about the 95, but the dealer told me that the 00 is notorious for squeaking in the bushings. When they get wet the squeaking stops, sometimes in the summer I squirt some silicone on them, it stops for a week or two. I just live with it.

how hard is it to raplace bushings? ive put lift kits on jeeps before, seems like it would be a pretty complicated thing to do...any info?

I've been here for awhile, and there really isn't a ton of people having to replace bushings other than the sway bar bushings.

Its most likely that it is the sway bar bushings. I wouldn't replace rather remove them and lube them up with grease and re-install. Use caution while removing the bolts so as not to snap the bolt and while installing be careful not to strip out the nut in the frame. Trust me it was not fun...

sway bar bushes, spray a bit of penetrating fluid on them, and push up & down to see if the noise stops

You can buy a can of spray type white grease. I use that twice a year on the bushings. You have a common issue, nothing to worry about. Basically is dry rubber against metal that makes the sound.

You can replace the bushings, but they'll just sqeak too.

They don't come with front shocks? I've never seen a vehicle that didn't have either shocks, or leaf springs.

It is sold at most auto part stores. It is usually called WHITE LITHIUM GREASE and comes in spray paint cans. It also should have a long spray tube like you get with WD40 for tight places.

It will probably be kept in the lubricant section near belt dressing and silicone sprays.

ok, anyone got pics of where i should focus lubricants? i know everything w/ rubber basically, but i dont want to miss anything. so any pics would be great.
