I know there are a lot of threads on this after doing a search, but I didn't find one that quite matched my situation, and was wondering what everyone here thought...

I just installed newly turned rotors, new Bendix Titaniumetallic II pads, Napa anti-brake squeal compound on the backs of the pads and shims (red formula), and the brakes began squealing when applied within 25 miles, after warming up.

I had this problem before, and just put up with it, but I don't want to if I don't have to. Anyone know something I'm missing here?

The only theory I have is I may have had this issue begin when I changed out the calipers several years ago. That shouldn't make any difference, but there may be too little clearance between the caliper and the anchor plate after things heat up. Maybe?

I have had many cars and trucks, done too many brake jobs to count, and never had a problem like this before.

I have the same problem with with mine. The brakes were squeeling when i first got the car and they changed the discs and pads and it went away for a bit but then came back again and I have taken apart and cleaned the brakes a few times trying to figure out the problem but can't get it to stop. There is plenty of meat left on the pads and nothing like stuck in the wrong spot or anything. I just can't figure it out.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but make sure you grease the ridges that the caliper slides back and forth on.

Yeah, I greased the ridges and slides, as well as the surfaces where the calipers meet the anchor plates, even the grooves on the anchor plates where the inboard pads slide into. The squeals are not consistant, but come and go randomly.

small chirps and squeels and louder when actually riding the brakes

im looking for pictorial on 94 exp brakes i dont see them but new calipers come with a little clip??? keeping the rear shoe from baking off the rotor ?

it seems to be a little loose wondering if it needs one i dont have a location for it wondering if it is the culprit id experiment with a shim if i knew it wont get lost or bound ?

Do not Grease anything around your disk brakes.:thumbdwn:

The caliper seats are to be clean and dry.

The caliper bolts or pins are to be clean and dry

The pad seats are to be clean and you guest it DRY!

THE GREASE IS WHAT'S CAUSING THE SQUEALING. ;)

Hope this helps.
