Rained for the first time this week since we brought home our ST. Our driveway slopes a little from garage down to the street, I had just pulled in front first when we got home and parked it there and didnt think anything of it. Had a few days overlap with my other company car so I kept driving that until the transport company picked it up. After it rained the first day, I happened to be in the garage and looked out at my ST and noticed the hood scallup filled up with water. Not such a big deal but if it stays there and dries/evaporates, it leaves a mega water spot/mineral deposit. Ask me how I know. Moved it around so its backed up the incline so the water drains off but something to watch out for if parking on an incline.

I believe the hood design is basically the same as that of the 5th gen Explorer but this is the first time anyone has posted about this particular issue. Thanks.

i've noticed this too. not so much mineral deposits, but rings of tree pollen left behind by evaporated puddles on the hood.

I noticed almost immediately after getting my ST a month ago! It is such a cool looking sculpted hood but annoying! I try to back in when I know it will rain so that it rolls off the hood.

If the car is parked on the level in the garage, does the hood still puddle water?

i think just if you are parked with the nose up

I would venture to say that unless your roof leaks, probably not.
