Have a 2000 Explorer 4X4, 4.0L, 125,000km(Approx 80,000 miles)
Have a frustrating problem with stalling. When engine is at operating temperature, engine RPM will drop to less than 500RPM when braking to a stop and stall. Will immediately restart, but when put into drive, RPM will drop and stall repeatedly. Only way to get moving is to put in neutral, raise RPMs and slip into drive. Does not happen when engine below full operating temperature. Engine light does not come on and service tech can find no codes. Have replaced the IAC, replaced fuel filter, cleaned throttle body, air filter clean, and have bypassed the EGR. Following the above, everything OK with no stalling for approximately 100 miles (Idle RPM +/-900, In drive Idle +/_700). However, problem now back. Service tech unable to diagnose. Can not find any vacuum leaks. Any ideas?

Replace the throttle body. I was told it was the actual throttle motor or a dirty throttle body. Both apparently act the same. I had the issue on my Mustang, and installing a new TB fixed that, and increased off-line power and throttle response. It had slowly diminished so I hadn't noticed it.
