2004 explorer sport track
So I've been driving my father 04 explorer sport track off and on for the past couple weeks because my car is down. Today on my way home from work it decides to start sputtering and dies on me. When I turn the key into the "on" position the oil gadge doesn't read any pressure. The rare moments I've got it to fire back up the gadge goes right to the normal operating position, I have to keep the throttle about halfway down for it to run and even then it dies most of the time. Would anyone possibly know in what direction to start looking? I don't know enough to diagnose but I can take it apart and put it back together with no problem. T.i.a.

fuel pressure?

fuel pressure?
Possibly.... I took the cover off and moved the throttle cable back and forth a few times. After that it ran for about a minute or two then sputtered and died again.

is this drive by cable or drive by wire? excuse my lack of 3rd gen knowledge could be excess carbon on the throttlw body causing it to close fully? how is IAC? if iac is bad and carbon i supose could cause something like this? not too sure on this one...
